‘A Cradle Song’ By William Blake

A beautiful poem ‘A Cradle Song’ tells us about the innocence and purity of the baby. While reading the poem, just imagine a description of a holy picture, happiness and peace. A mother is trying to make her new born baby sleep by singing a lullaby. It doesn’t need to mention but we can imagine that the baby is Jesus and the mother is The Virgin. If we look at the poem from a universal point of view, the situation is not just particular to Jesus and his mother but to every mother who has just given birth to a baby and we can identify them as The Virgin, as they have the same feelings for their child.
